Person who has worked in and generally spent a lot of time in Yellowstone here. While somebody used to reading bison body language would’ve tried to get out of that situation, the average visitor wouldn’t—and these folks were at a reasonable distance away.

I have a friend who likes to go to the park to look at ducks and geese. At first I went to hang out with my friend, and now I think *I’m* becoming a person who wants to look at ducks and geese. Because look! At them!

I earned my PhD in December. Through a lot of luck I have a gig for at least a year starting next month, but I have no idea what comes after that and not a lot of optimism with each pathway that closes. The uncertainty eats into my mental health every day.
