He animated the sequence by himself for more than four months -- without computers or even an easy way to check his work. Absolutely. Also Western narratives about post-revolution countries always over-emphasize the push for industrialization and almost never mention the massive campaigns for literacy and investment in the arts to be shared with and involve everyone. To lack art is to lack revolutionary spirit.
Jay Hulme@jayhulmepoet.bsky.social · 3mo agoMy biggest conspiracy theory is that telling working class people that engagement in the arts is a middle / upper class thing and to do so makes you a class traitor is a psyop to make them disengaged with themselves and the world and the beauty of being human, so that they accept worse treatment.
I did. With the union busting, Pinkertons, ceo's love for ai, its tough for me to really like working for wotc. The creative team is great, everyone I worked with online, but we need to hold some top-floor feet to the fire here.

On top of reasons of role deconstruction and bodily autonomy, this is one reason why it's so important to many people in power to eradicate trans folk. If you're secure with yourself, feeling good BEING yourself, they can't tell you you're broken and then sell you a "fix"

But the reason it's true is actually because Congress passed a law in 1988 specifically making it illegal for video stores to sell your rental history
