Almost one year ago the Scottish Government supported Green proposals to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel. The vote passed in Parliament, a historic moment. So why have Ministers not done a single thing to implement it? www.thenational.scot/news/2642085...

Israel boycott failure 'undermining Scotland solidarity with Palestine', say Greens

THE Scottish Government's failure to implement a boycott of Israel is undermining its claims of solidarity with Palestine despite ministers…

There can be no excuses for speaking at a fascist rally which brought racism, intimidation and even nazi salutes to our streets. We can not allow fascists any place in Scotland and they must be rejected by all parties.

An article in the National: Reform UK blasted for not sacking councillor who spoke at Glasgow 'fascist rally'

Failed politicians shouldn't become unelected, unaccountable law makers for the rest of their lives. This is a fundamental principle of democracy. The House of Lords is a relic long past its sell by date.

Abolish the Lords. The words are over an image of Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar.

It’s time for Burnham to rule out any new oil and gas drilling in the north sea and halt the Rosebank development. Anything less would fly in the stance of the science while doing nothing to lower bills or protect us from the global price hikes. www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2026/07/20/s...

Scottish Greens call on new PM to rule out new North Sea drilling

The Scottish Green Party has urged new Prime Minister Andy Burnham to rule out new drilling in the North Sea.

Some of the very worst cheerleaders of Israel's genocide in Palestine have been sacked by Burnham. Great, but plenty of others remain & the real test is whether government policy actually changes. Will the arms sales stop? The sharing of intelligence? The trade with illegal settlements?

From the West Highland Way to local routes, paths keep our communities connected. But too many have been left to deteriorate, becoming muddy, inaccessible and even unsafe. We're calling for a new fund to protect and expand our network to ensure everyone can experience Scotland safely.

Protect Scotland's paths.

The impact that hyperscale data centres would have on our communities, environment, and energy systems are unfathomable. This growing international rejection underscores the importance of Scotland introducing a similar ban, before the damage is done.

Today marks the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War. A total of 549 Scots volunteered to fight in Spain. Proportionally more Scots volunteered than from any other country. We still have a lot of work to do in Scotland to tackle fascism, racism, and all forms of discrimination.

There are 24 hyperscale data centre applications in Scotland. If they're all built they'll consume over 1.5 times the peak energy demand of the entire country. We urgently need a pause to develop a national approach that works for people and planet, not just tech billionaires.

I was delighted to see the Equality Network coordinate this important letter to the First Minister demanding action on a Scottish ban of conversion practices. In May, I lodged a motion calling for the ban. Together, as the public, politicians and campaigners, we will ban conversion practices.

The Scotsman: LGBT charities tell SNP ministers to introduce conversion therapy ban 'as matter of urgency'.

Yes, the inclusion of Gaelic and Scots in their proposal exposes their incompetence. But the real issue here is that racists are trying to criminalise any minority languages in election campaigning. Oh, that and the secret bungs and the fraudster funding, let's not stop talking about that.

Proposals by Reform UK to criminalise election materials produced in Gaelic and Scots have been blasted by speakers, with the party being accused of 'incompetence and ignorance' over Scotland’s official languages
