Just your regular reminder that John Howard never pushed back against Pauline Hanson and One Nation policies. He embraced them, which is how he outflanked them, while also setting the stage for what the Liberals are today. The myth that he 'pushed back' truly needs to die.

On 26 January, a man threw a home-made bomb into a crowd of First Nations people & allies. Australia has new anti-hate laws. Will they be used to truly protect, or as an excuse to censor marginalised groups? I just signed the open letter to @tonyburkemp.bsky.social - will you join me? bit.ly/46gnJnp

The Invasion Day rally in Boorloo / Perth was subject to a hateful and racist attack. Right now, we need our allies to speak up with us: for safety, freedom and justice. Sign the open letter to Home A...

The demolition of Roe v Wade, legislation that assured a woman's right to make her own decisions about her own body, was allegedly America's first step into neo-fascism. Until those rights are restored, America will continue its descent. 2/

After Bondi, calls for a Royal Commission appeared overnight, delivered by rotating groups using identical language. That is astroturfing, a PR tactic that simulates grassroots demand to manufacture urgency, crowd out scrutiny, and lock in policy before evidence is tested. More on YT

It’s important for the international community to boycott America That includes the World Cup and Olympics Refuse to support fascism Refuse to support a country that’s targeting all marginalized people, killing & detaining its citizens and threatening its allies It’s not safe. It’s not worth it.

You have to give credit to the pro-Israel lobby. They’ve managed to push murder of non-Jewish civilians by Israeli soldiers & settlers off the front pages of our legacy media. If we must have a RC let’s cover the causes and correctives needed for all the “anti-isms” & phobias poisoning our society.

This is devastating to read. What a failure of public health. And yet many (most) don't want to hear that COVID is airborne and that they might have to change how they live. And so, they keep getting infected over and over again. We need clean air, free testing, + anti virals for all.

This is wild. A 22-year-old having COVID 9 times isn’t “normal” or acceptable. She washes her hands religiously, but COVID is airborne — Public health failed her. She had been healthy and happy for most of her life, but repeated infections have clearly taken a toll on her health and wellbeing.

Screenshot of a Reddit post from r/COVID19positive titled “I’ve gotten covid 9 times,” posted 9 hours ago by user JackfruitOpposite743, with a yellow label reading “Tested Positive – Long-Hauler.” The post is written by a 22-year-old woman who says she had been mostly healthy and happy for most of her life until starting college in 2021. Since then, she reports repeated illnesses including strep, bronchitis, mono, pneumonia, and COVID. She states she has had COVID nine times since 2021, with one infection progressing to pneumonia and requiring hospitalisation. She says she washes her hands religiously, avoids crowds, is vaccinated regularly, and experiences severe pain, body chills, exhaustion, and fear of going to crowded places. She asks for help, saying repeated infections feel like they are draining her body.
