In my lifetime I don’t think anything has made me want to give up on this broken country like the mass shared delusion about something that happened just a few years ago. So many brains are just completely gone and they’re not coming back.

Tuberville: "I'll be the governor of Alabama and I promise you we will find out if there's a possibility that we can bring him to Alabama to put him in front of a court and a jury to see if we can put this guy in prison. He killed millions of people, folks."

Sean Hannity gave some brief discussion alongside a Fox correspondent after the speech, said it all sounds really bad and his show will look into the documents in the days to come, and now he's moved on to Iran.

The MAGA plot to subvert the 2026 midterm elections is coming into focus. 1. Declassify docs to claim 2020 was stolen. 2. Declare a "national emergency" to seize control of the election apparatus. 3. Hope the "national security" predicate keeps courts out. www.mediamatters.org/voter-fraud-...

it's even dumber than you think

One thing I haven’t seen noted enough about Lindsey Graham is that he was a loud living embodiment of Sidekick Syndrome. If you look at the arc of his life, he was either a vocal sidekick or desperately auditioning for a new main character latch onto.

Oh and for fwiw, I don’t believe that re speaking ill of dead. Yes, there should be basic reverence for death and shouldn’t go out of your way to malign, but if speaking basic truths about how someone lived and exercised power they had reflects negatively that’s more on them than the speaker.

Not wanting to speak ill of the dead doesn’t mean you have to say adulatory things about. Hope many leading voices keep that in mind.
