It did a beautiful job creating this interactive map: catalogue-of-ships.netlify.app ...but it also identified that Butler's version of the Iliad actually made two mistakes in the Greek translation!
Made a labeler on my GPU by getting qwen3:14b to apply labels to random stuff off the firehose and using that to apply a bit of extra training to an old twitter classifier and it's currently spraying the label "mental health" over bsky posts apparently indiscriminately

But imagine *believing* this thing could be equivalent to a god, and deciding that you wanted to hand the keys to its thoughts over a government powerful enough to stop it. Doesn't even enter their minds the gov might go fash?
The story here was that Shizuoka wasn't getting a station because the line would only pass through a little bit at the arse end of it, and the governor developed a deep sincere concern that it would make the water fall out of his river. He then got taken down by scandal, don't fuck with Japan Rail
