I left the Church years ago. I can’t go back. I do not demand that the Church change for me. But when the Holy Father says stuff like this I feel so connected to the depths of my faith, to the part of the Church that I did not and cannot leave, and I am so happy to feel that way

Ok. Fine. Everyone? Make a claim. Claims from everyone who has been assaulted by ICE. Claims for emotional distress at having watched the insurrection. Racism? Harassment? Police violence? Victimized by Trump's policies? Just gum up the works.

The United States government just agreed to pay $1.8 billion to the United States president, approved by the president's own personal lawyer who represented him when he was convicted of 34 criminal counts. This is the biggest scandal in all of American political history.
Mamdani: I cannot help but think of the words of our 40th president, Ronald Reagan. He famously said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are 'I'm from the govt & I'm here to help'" I think nine more terrifying words are actually, "I worked all day and can't feed my family"
Because you can’t remove people from your life entirely. You will deal with people you wish you could delete. Even if temporarily. But you WILL see them, interact with them, see them fail and succeed in spite of you. People like this want to curate other peoples lives to service their own.
