A book blanket update!! 📚💕🧶✨ I'm halfway with my squares, which I'm really excited about! I have run out one of the main/edging colours so I will need to look in my stash for a replacement, very likely a light blue/apple green. Pattern: Painted Roses Blanket by Sandra Paul #Crochetsky #Booksky

A flat lay photo of 54 crocheted squares. The squares are all different colours as they were inspired by different book covers, but they are all edged in a different shade of light blue/seagreen. The squares have a central flower and are taken from the pattern Painted Roses by Sandra Paul

And I have a #FOFriday post too!! 🌱🤍🩶🤎 The seed socks are finished!! No pattern at the moment, but they feature the Sunflower seed lace pattern and are the first pair socks inspired by gardens and those who tend them! There are a few more ideas in mind, 🤞the others work out too! 😄🧶 #knitsky #knit

A flat lay photo of a pair of hand knitted socks, the socks are a pale taupe with a subtle fleck! The socks have a diamond lace pattern, and are shown alongside two ceramic bowls, one black with sunflower seeds in and the other one is cream and white.A close up of the stitch pattern of the socks, showing the diamond lace pattern and the subtle colour variations in the yarn. A creamish/taupe colour with brown flecks.

So excited that this shawl is finished, couldn't wait for a #FOFriday ☺️ This is the red-wing blackbird inspired Imagineur, pattern by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne. I originally had gold in mind for the third colour, but wasn't that happy with it so switched to the chartreuse, which I love!! 💚🧡❤️🖤 #knitsky 🧶

A flat lay photo of a knitted lace shawl, the shawl is black with orange, red and chartreuse lace panels. The shawl was inspired by the red-winged black-bird and is shown alongside three ceramic bowls. two red and white and the third a dark turquoise colour. For #showmeyourknits this week - interpretations of Light and Dark. I picked the Kaarina Shawl by Sari Nordlund for the interpretation of light. 🤍🧶 For the dark, my current WIP, Imagineur by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne, which despite it's avian influences, has a dark and fiery feel which I just love! 🧡❤️🖤

A photo collage of one finished shawlette, the top shawl is a creamy colour and has a cable pattern, with a small ceramic bowl, whereas the bottom shawl is partially knitted, it is black with bright orange and red bands.

Finally got around to getting out little garden planted, just a few plants this year. Cherry Tomato, Chili Peppers, Cilantro, and Lemon Verbena. 💚✨👨🏻‍🌾

Another book blanket square update! 🧶📚💕 Mostly books by @natashapulley.bsky.social for this update and I still have a few more to crochet! Love all the vibrant colours in these squares, currently at 30% 😄✨ Pattern: Painted Roses Blanket by Sandra Paul. #crochet #crochetsky #booksky

A photo collage of 6 crocheted squares and the books that inspired them. The top two are shown with the physical books, whereas the bottom 4 are shown alongside the images of the books. The books shown are The half life of Valery K, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. To clutch a Razor by Veronica Roth, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reids, The Lost future of Pepperharrow and The Mars House both by Natasha Pulley. The squares are varied in colour and have blue, yellow, pink, green, red and purple centers. All the borders are either aqua or pale green.

#WIPWednesday update!! So I reached the quarter way mark on my book blanket! I was concerned that the blanket might be a bit dull, with so many black/white covers - but I didn't need to worry, it looks bright and fabulous!! 😄🧶💕 Pattern: Painted Roses Blanket by Sandra Paul #crochet #crochetsky

A photo of 30 crocheted squares shown on a taupe and cream carpet. The squares have floral centers and are all different colours, because they were made to match book covers. They all have turquoise or pale green edging though

New knitting adventures! ☺️🧡❤️ Most aloe plants flower during the winter and they often attract sunbirds! As the stalks are just starting to grow, I decided to design a pair of socks inspired by the aloe flowers clusters 🌼 The yarn is by Miss la Motte and is called perfectly poppy. #knitsky #knit 🧶

Made some “bloody” desserts for my sister to take to a murder mystery dinner 🔪✨ Red velvet crinkle cookies & red velvet cupcakes with bourbon vanilla bean cream cheese buttercream and raspberry preserves hidden in the center of the frosting for a fun little surprise in the first bite ❤️🩸

I’ve been in a little bit of a crafting slump, and really need my creative outlet back! I’m sure many can relate. Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting a work space set up for myself to create things in any way that I can! Here’s my first attempt back into card making. More to come soon!

Handmade card with metallic textures and butterfly die cuts, Happy Mother’s Day sentiment.
