Ask Me Anything: I contracted cyclospora back in May before any of this outbreak info was known, and the dozens of people and I who got sick together had to figure everything out via Slack and crowd sourced-epidemiology (though several of our public health degrees helped)

I have somehow never watched Girls, so I’m finally giving it a shot, and: four episodes in, I think I like it? Yes, the characters are insufferable, and yes it’s turned up to 11 at points, but I also enjoy the writing and think the cast’s chemistry is fantastic!

Very excitedly subscribed to this and only like 10% of the motivation was to temporarily name the raven. (The rest was for my brilliant friend @jayasax and the brilliant writing I’ll get to enjoy. ) (But also: raven names)

Big news! I’ll be joining the @aclu.org come January as a Survey Analyst with the Public Opinion Research team! I’m thrilled to step into this role, and to bring my love of data back to fighting the good fight. Thank you to everyone who supported/ helped me on the job search. Here’s to 2026!

For the last four days I’ve been coding in R in the morning, and Python in the afternoon, and while I am very proud of myself and feel very smart, my brain is also fully broken and I’m not entirely sure I know how to speak anymore

A thing Zohran & his campaign have powerfully tapped into -- and that his scavenger hunt captures so perfectly -- is that a vast majority of the people who live here genuinely *love* New York City. We wouldn't stay here otherwise!

@jayasaxena.com is one of my favorite writers ever—and I’m not just saying that because I’ve known her longer than I’ve known how to read. She doesn’t need my endorsement (her talent speaks for itself) but if anyone is looking for a brilliant, award-winning, America’s Best Food Writer, hire her

I'm officially out of a job--they eliminated mine, and I'm taking severance instead of a wildly different title they offered me that's not at all what I was hired to do. Solidarity forever 🌺, and while I take a breather someone come up with some good ideas of work I could do.
