I was crossing the street pedestrian style when a driver turned even tho I had the walk signal. He almost hit me with his car so I said “you almost hit me.” He replied “we almost hit each other” Who am I to disagree

“Real” sports journalism outlets falling all over themselves to accommodate Sophie Cunningham’s very clear pivot to right wing grifter at the direct expense of trans people is so cheap and stupid and ominous, it makes me want to throw up. @defector.com remains the only sports media site I trust.

a journalist providing "strategic analysis" of a movement thing without talking to actual organizers/activists is such a weird project to take on. But then relying on prosecutors' and media accounts for it is like borderline dada. What are we doing here

The trans sports stuff is sticking in my craw more this year because no one who writes about this has ever gotten an email from their NGB reminding them to change their “sex assigned at birth” in their profile because they marked they were transgender years ago.

A THREAD. This week lots of my friends will be driving cross-country to Indianapolis for Gen Con, a big gaming industry convention. They'll also be driving home - and they're way more likely to be exhausted! This seems like a good time to pull out my semi-annual standard advice to keep you alive.

Two sleepy tollers, neither of them driving.
