As someone coming from the arts and humanities who’s interested in writing for games, it sometimes seems like a steep climb. No one wants to hire writers who have not already worked on games. As such, this bit from legend Hajime Kimura was heartening to read!

I’ve scrolled enough to see all y’all TTRPG folks have been manifesto-ing & all I can say is: I like theory, I like practice. I like people who get nerdy with me about why they do what they do. I like people who appreciate that I think about why they do what they do even though they don’t.

apropos of the thing of the day: just about every construction regulation that you personally find to be annoying overkill is in place because somebody had a grisly, avoidable death. they don’t establish regulations ahead of disaster just to be safe. they do it to clean up horrifying messes

Reading Dream of Inkberry's "Game Design as Play: In Pursuit of Bad Art" and I take a lot of solace in this quote. I'm still new to this, and so much of my work is untested, and it's often hard to get feedback or find time to play with friends. It can feel hard to figure out, but I do try for art.

Don't really have an answer for this but in researching it I found an awesome actual play from user Onyx Zhentarim of my game IN THE HOUSE OF ASTERION, based on the Jorge Luis Borges story. A cool thing about this video is she does the rooms in an order that never occurred to me haha
