"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently,

"Do not be too quick to condemn the man who no longer believes in God, for it is perhaps your own coldness and avarice, your mediocrity and materialism, your sensuality and selfishness that have killed his faith." —Thomas Merton

It's not just that the GOP accepted the Tate brothers. They promoted and normalized these rapists Republicans made them heroes. Now Andrew and Tristan Tate have over 12 million followers on social media And the worst part is, they're just a small part of the mainstream MAGA brand

However horrible you think the Tate brothers are, I promise, it's worse than that. It's insane that Dems aren't making a bigger deal of the GOP embracing these grotesque monsters.

I know I have RTd this several times, but: the WHOLE POINT of the State Department is that it’s supposed to be full of people who deal with other countries, and who could therefore be expected to look at that map and know IMMEDIATELY that it was wrong.

PBS News@pbsnews.org · 6d ago

The State Department said it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

I was wondering if anyone was keeping a running total on Trump’s waste and abuse. You have to check out this video. And there’s so much, I bet you forgot about some of it: 💰Ballroom: $1 billion project, taxpayers already on the hook for $300 mill 💰 J6 Slush Fund: $1.776 billion for his rioters 🧵

Reminder that on his last day of his first term, Trump awarded a commendation to Dr Fauci "in recognition of his exceptional effort on Operation Warp Speed"

cap of White House page honoring Fauci

Republicans want us to memory-hole everything Trump did in 2020 while dragging us back into the same tired 2020 culture wars: Fauci, Wuhan, vaccines, communism. Why? Because it’s now 2026, they broke the country, and desperately need a distraction to reinvigorate their base.
