I think this is something we have to rethink really hard. ALL the US use of these munitions, except for a small amount sent to Ukraine (but no more), has been in wars of Donald Trump's choice. If we don't start wars, we don't use them. This is worth reading.

Miller is a piece of shit. But be cautious about calling family photos of nude toddlers "CSAM." I've written about lives ruined over allegations that turned out to be harmless photos of kids taking a bath or running naked through the house. Moreno is already calling for prosecutions, here.

True. Although I wish people would ask more questions about the idea that Platner’s story has something to do with our willingness to offer second chances to people who messed up. He never took responsibility for what he did. His video when he dropped out was all about HIM.

Even if you’re sick of hearing about Platner, the piece is useful to read. It’s more nuanced than its subhead suggests, and than Perlstein’s commentary on it. The idea that combat service “tends to turn men into broken, hateful people” has numerous counter examples.
