Oh, so it’s not just happening in France; it’s international-level gaslighting. People who couldn't care less about what happens after they're gone are lucky to have a media ecosystem that pays no heed to borders and facts—I’m actually a bit jealous.

🧵Right-leaning newspapers are trying to blame Europe's raging wildfires on everything EXCEPT fossil fuels 1. The Wall Street Journal Frontpage story: "Greece fights wildfires as Europe crisis spreads" WSJ editorial: "How green policies fuel fires in Europe"

I definitely reached the "my game sucks" and "I am a terrible game designer" phase of making Metropolis. I had to stop myself from deleting it all out of frustration last night. Time to go read a book or disconnect for a bit.

"Cats don't actually love you" I'm being hounded 24/7 by two fluffy creatures who want nothing more but to play and snuggle, fuck off. They complain when I don't take naps because they want to have sleepy time with me around in the bedroom.

I've been reverse-engineering / porting Super Mario Bros. to C++ to understand how it works on the inside! I guess this looks exactly like an emulator but it's not, the "RAM" is recreated from internal state

This is one of the coolest and most unique entries in this year’s Demo Days. I want to see folks create absolute bangers and share it with the world

I added tvOS as a target for Merropplis. So now you can play the game completely on your AppleTV. In truth this is to get my wife to test it. But it looks awesome!

C'mon people. I sweat about accidentally putting the wrong release dates on my lecture slides with movie clips. A 100% real quote: "Oh, sorry gang, I know that says 1919, but Defending Your Life came out in 1991."

Multiple headline thumbnails about an AI generated map in a State Department AIDS presentation that mislabeled every African country it showed.

Thinking about the Neuromancer and Blade Runner 2099 trailers. The Neuromancer trailer feels like Blade Runner. The “lonely city” feeling and stark silhouettes. The 2099 trailer feels like … I’m not sure what. Not Blade Runner. (any trailer can be made to feel anyway, both shows look awesome)

So we've got the Bladerunner show in November and the Neuromancer show in January. Of course, I love it, but I hope the shows don't eat each others ratings and lead to cancellations. I really wish these had been a year apart.

Complete rough play through of the first quest works! Dubious decisions can now be made (you can lie about who did it). SO MANY BUGS. But also, this is awesome. It's fun!

"Several former federal US space officials told the Guardian they doubt the orbital datacenters are feasible. But putting millions of additional satellites into orbit would create a significant environmental risk, said Steve Volz, the former head of the Noaa satellite office."

"Space datacenters would release staggering levels of pollution that would probably alter the Earth’s atmosphere and be 'catastrophic' for the planet, space industry experts and environmental groups warn in a new petition demanding a review of their impacts." www.theguardian.com/science/2026...
