I'm back in Metal Hammer this month, introducing Love Rarely, one of the most exciting new British bands I've heard in years. If you want to read a non-blurred version of how djent, gospel and generational trauma inspired the UK’s most exciting new post-hardcore band, 'Hammer 416 is on shelves now
It's a point I've been trying to make for a long time: there is no good way to meet even 10% of current demand for animal products. They trash the living world, whichever way you do it. If you want to reduce your impact, switch to a plant-based diet. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

These Meta Rayban pervert glasses are already being used to abuse women. No f*cking thank you. Tell billionaire loser Mark Zuckerberg he CANNOT use your image to train his AI. Join loads of others sending LEGAL NOTICE withdrawing your consent for Meta to record you: ehe.movement-action.org/p/meta
Deeply chilling stuff. This is completely unacceptable behaviour - attacking someone because you're angry about the state of a game or a studio is beyond unhinged. A sobering reminder to stay vigilante at conventions and not to be afraid to alert security to anyone who gets aggressive.
I've had to literally physically protect Liana at PAX East. Anyone who touches her or any other woman within my eyesight in a manner they don't approve of won't be walking away. Period. I'll break your fucking neck and shrug.
I'm about 15 years late, but I just finished Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and it may be my favourite anime? While it doesn't hit the highs of Evangelion or Cowboy Bebop, it's FAR more consistent. Perfectly paced, amazing characters and actually sticks the landing without feeling too convoluted

www.theguardian.com/games/2026/j... I played Castlevania Belmont’s Curse, an enjoyably kinetic and immensely satisfying reinvention of Konami's seminal sidescroller. It's an expectedly campy tale of crypts and curses. What I wasn't expecting, however, was a boss battle with an anime Joan of Arc...
