Romania update... We're delighted that all 4 Large Blue species (Phengaris sp) have now been seen on our Romania tour, along with 100+ species. Scarce LB (P. telejus) & Dusky LB (P. nausithous) 2day, with Alcon (P. alcon) & Large (P. arion) seen previously. @europebutterfly.bsky.social

Also seen in Romania today - Lesser Clouded Yellow (Colias chrysotheme). We had already enjoyed Danube Clouded Yellow (Colias myrmidone) and others, meaning we have now achieved the full set of all 6 Colias species too! 3 more full days in the field to go & some special species still on the menu!

It's day 3 of our 2nd Romania butterfly tour in 2026. We're happy to report well over 100 species recorded already. Highlights are too many to name, but here's a pair of popular species - Scarce Copper & Chequered Blue. @europebutterfly.bsky.social
