Discovered a new colony of holly blues today near Prestongrange mining museum in East Lothian new to me anyway)! Looking for banded demoiselles i stumbled upon shoals of tiny fish (minnows?). Hopeful sign that the river is in good health. An otter swimming by shortly afterwards was another positive. River Tyne near East Linton. #wildlife #mindfulmoment

Waiting for the pine marten to visit I watched these pied wagtails catching food for their chicks. Stuffed beaks with a variety of prey. Present every day then disappeared day before we left. Hoping the chicks fledged & didn't become pine marten dinner @rspbscotland.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social
