literally just saw someone blame the closure of bioware on Anita Sarkeesian. seriously. my god these people need some damn perspective. I wish Anita had as much power as these people think they do.

can't believe we have to keep relitigating certain internet topics. 1. Blocking people is good and healthy and not a victory for them 2. Safe spaces can be a great thing 3. Debating with trolls and bigots is a waste of time and energy

oh man Street Fighter is great. Campy, fun, badass, surprisingly gay at points, makes better use of 'what's up' than the masters of the universe movie did and seriously has big 90s ridiculous supervillain energy.

And while we're on the subject: there's no ethical use of a product brought to market through unethical means. It doesn't matter whether the product is "AI" or chocolate or diamonds. Most generative "AI" was knowingly developed through massive theft from creatives; we have the emails admitting this.

ok been debating doing this thread for a while but I think it's worth it. so something that's been going through the back of my head is why people on the right are the way they are, and why 'that's so weird' started to really resonate around the election and I think it kinda clicked.

The rest of their comment was about "disagreements about opinions," but it's my comment section so only my opinion matters, frankly, and in my opinion transphobes can fuck off.

If your AI chatbot is telling you to contact us with five paragraphs of pleading to give your MTG project the legal go-ahead and a little kiss on the forehead: just don't. We can't give you legal advice and we don't want to hear about your vibe app.

ok newer stargate fans, listen up, there's yet another revival pitch going around, don't get your hopes up until at least a trailer appears. There's a new stargate pitched every couple years...

I really enjoyed this season of Ted Lasso and hope we get a season 5 but man do I feel like it was not living up to its potential and could have been so much better. Storylines just seem to disappear and we spin our wheels on less interesting ones.

I'm not saying don't discourage people to use AI or not to call out when people use slop art but it's starting to feel like how society reacts to recycling or food waste. It's all put on the individual to not be wasteful rather than go direct the effort at large corporations causing the problem

"EPIC WRAP BATTLES OF HISTORY" "SARAN WRAP VS.... "ACE BANDAGE" "BEGIN" *a container of kirkland food plastic wrap sits silently on a table* *a life brand ace bandage sits on a kitchen counter silentlier* *camera swaps back and forth between them a couple times* "WHO WON? YOU DECIDE"

I recently went to Command Fest Toronto and after seeing the response online I expected to see the same toxic behaviour towards universes beyond in person. However it didn't happen, everyone was just... normal. people played the cards and had fun. it was rather refreshing honestly.

ok just went to look up something on justwatch and that site has now reached the useless stage for me. It got mildly less useful when they changed their layout and it was was harder to read.
