Wait, I thought “labubu” was a cutesy term for a lobotomy…
“The infrastructure for digital authoritarianism is being built right now, and Palantir is playing a central role.” Also, I have 0 empathy for anyone who electively worked for Peter f-ing Thiel.
Palantir employees spill the tea. Thirteen former Palantir staffers signed a letter urging the company to cut ties with the Trump administration.
Wow. This is major news. Judges discuss moving the U.S. marshals from the executive to the judicial branch. Not only would they protect judges from trump threats, but it would also make it easier for courts to order marshals to carry out court orders.
“Judges Weigh Taking Control of Their Own Security Amid Threats” — because the Marshals answer to Trump, per this extraordinary scoop from @WSJ.com www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

Sharing this as a reminder to myself to read later. But, yea, it’s the working class vs. the ultra rich and the unreliable institutions that have mostly just dangled carrots. Let’s not forget that.
The wealthy have intentionally destroyed class consciousness so that they can exploit the vast majority of people. If we’re going to fight back and ultimately win this class war, it’s time we got familiar with how our politics actually work. jaredyatessexton.substack.com/p/a-thorough...

I know I’m new around here, but my gut tells me to take this advice:
Yet another plea to people who are using or following people off follow-farming hashtags like #NoDemUnder1K, #NoDemUnder5K, #BlueCrew, #FBR, etc etc: please do not do that, it's how disinformation operations work. I'm already seeing accounts in those hashtags that are likely disinformation ops. 1/
There are no guardrails. The institutions aren’t going to save you. Revealing who these people are doesn’t matter. And here’s why: for all of the handwringing over norms or decency, this is about power. Full stop. It’s time to leave these notions behind and get serious.
It's impossible to maintain a constant hypervigilance across the entire spectrum of threats. Hypervigilance will exhaust you and make you sick. Solidarity and real community helps. Be intentional with how you communicate with friends about breaking news. Don't be afraid to make requests.
K since we’re not gonna be getting one single raggedy thing from the govt anymore, I suppose it’s fine to stop paying my taxes now.

I was just listening to NPR and one of the topics was how Gen Z is “moving to the right”. They had people calling in pontificating as to why that might be with two young Republicans also there for commentary. In my mind, I am screaming. Gen Z is not moving to the right.
