vent// went outside with intent of deliveries, the wildfire smoke cast a visible haze across the forest, could smell it in the air, went into low-grade panic and drove straight home all i could remember were the 2020 fires and everything else that year and how close i was to ending it all

dreamt that i got unplanned-pregnant and told mom while she was driving my siblings and i and she said "I could tell :)) I'm so happy to having another grandchild :)))", clearly upset it was out of wedlock but hoping the best, then i woke up and remembered "oh yeah i had a hysterectomy months ago"

Alright, it was suggested to me that I actually crowdfund the out of pocket cost for the lumbar MRI since my insurance keeps denying the day before the appt even w/ it as an important order. I will have more info in the replies as well. I was honestly hesitant but... ko-fi.com/portaltohades

Right now, I'm currently in need of a lumbar MRI but due to insurance denials and other roadblocks, I may be forced to pay out of pocket. Since trying to get it twice now, my symptoms have significantly worsened over the last few months. After discussing my options with friends, I've agreed to make a kofi goal to cover the MRI, bills, transportation, and a small cushion for other necessities. Literally any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have an art book for #tyreecomic ! It's 62 pages at $10! Not only does it have art but I have some brief guides into my page process as well. There is even stuff I havent released publicly in it! It's a great way to support me currently and get a glimpse into my obsession ko-fi.com/s/f5c5cebbd6

This bit, however, should be printed in large font in every public square. "War is fine as long as you feel bad about it afterwards" is the rotten apple that is steadily corrupting the entire barrel of western culture (a term I hesitate to even use bc it is so unhelpfully vague).

From Emily Wilson's LRB review of The Odyssey movie: "But the representation of Odysseus as a reluctant warlord makes a nonsense of the movie's imagined world. We are not shown that war or killing or bad, only that good men sometimes feel bad about it--a very different point. Any serious depiction of violence, ancient or modern, must show the perspectives of the victims as well as the perpetrators, and the Homeric poems easily clear the bar--but Nolan doesn't."
