If you're after a light-hearted, heart-warming, and genuinely funny show, get on Colin From Accounts. I'd not come across it before, but it has a couple of cast members from A Moody Christmas, and it's a similar vibe. Really, really good. Would recommend.

Manchester City Verdict Hangs Over UK’s Relations With Emiratis

Prime Minister Andy Burnham faces an awkward moment when a commission finally rules on the Premier League club’s legal saga.

One of the things that gets me most in the reaction to the Manchester City verdict and subsequent statements, is the people who have switched their position on the Abu Dhabi ownership based on the cheating, as if the horrific human rights record and flagrant sportswashing wasn't enough alone.

It's very important to make the argument City shouldn't be relegated but should be expelled. The EFL should get to choose whether it takes them and at what tier. The bad faith dealings have impacted many sides that are currently EFL teams.

Not even into #AFL, but fuck me. Freo Dockers 17 points clear with 4 minutes to play, and find a way to be 7 points down by the final whistle. Have to credit Brisbane's mentality - very evident that they'd won the last two Grand Finals. Freo will never have a better chance than that, though.

This is fascism. It needs to be called fascism by the papers & by the politicians. These are fascists who are putting the lives of volunteers in danger after having been legitimised by everyone on the political spectrum in the UK. Fuck the fascists & everyone who has enabled them.

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.

Agree with this, on Araujo. I was one of the people instinctively suspicious of the context around the loan as well, for the record, which already looks like a great piece of business by #LFC (and actually, a positive example of the kind of market opportunism Hughes had previously spoken about).

He seems to be an instant cult hero, but that does him a disservice, as he's far beyond the usual levels of someone given that name. This only happened because the expectation of getting a cheap-ass loan deal is only because they're crap & unwanted, but he lifted the La Liga trophy as Barca Captain

Was doing 'best' and 'worst' #LFC XI's over the weekend. Got thinking about a 'I Liked The Most/Cult Hero' XI: Staunton Heggem Can Krygiokos Aurelio Henderson Hamann Allen Berger Camara Origi Shout out (inexplicably) for Leonhardsen, and also the concept of an Alonso > Barry swap in 2018.

Low key one of my favourite things in football at the moment is when the ball loops up in the air anywhere (and I mean anywhere) down our right side, because you know Big Ron is coming and taking absolutely everything. Build a big wall if you like. He's coming through it. #LFC

At the airport this morning. Got out the taxi and managed to shut the door on my thumb. Thumb trapped. Me standing in the drop-off lane, attached to the car. Handleless doors. Knocked and, surprisingly calmly, asked driver to open door. Thumb looks like over-boiled beetroot. How's your morning.

Jacquet is the complete package. Phenomenal 1vs1, dominant in the air and duels, a fantastic progressing passer, and leadership traits (Captained multiple France youth teams). Even positionally he looks strong and ussually that's something CBs take time to learn, saved Virgil a few times.

"Jacquet was tremendous - he wins his battles, uses the ball really well...he pops up in areas, wins the ball and gets you on the front foot early." "He's the version of Konate we hoped we'd signed...he was really good for Liverpool, but this lad's unbelievable." 🎥 Ratings

Had a bit of a think on this and there's probably one or two i'd change, given where we are: GK Mama RB Frimpong CB Araujo CB Gomez LB Tsimikas CM Gravenberch CM Nyoni AM Mac Allister LW Rio RW Koumas CF Gakpo Chambers, Endo, McConnell, Danns, Munoz - maybe even Wirtz/Barcola off the bench. #LFC

Let's have a go at what we think a League Cup XI looks like for #LFC then. GK: Mama RB: Endo CB: Araujo CB: Chambers LB: Tsimikas CM: McConnell CM: Nyoni AM: Koumas RW: Munoz LW: Rio CF: Chiesa (Danns if fit) Something like that, I'd guess. Tells an obvious story of squad depth, I would suggest.

liverpool hired an obsessive pressing philosophy coach for a side that hadn't done anything like that in two years, with known holes in the squad. of course it was going to have some teething problems. stress out if there hasn't been clear progress by the end of the season.

Coaching the local U6 team this evening. Had some woman being aggressive to the kids for (apparently) kicking the ball at her dog. Turns out she called one of them a wimp. Another coach went to ask what was happening, and she told him to "go back where you came from".

Just watched the #LFC game back. ● Lovely to see Danns make the bench ● The off ball structure is improving game by game. Much more effective here ● Macca was excellent for 60. More compact unit around him helping ● The quick vertical passing is noticeably increasing ● Araujo can play!
