I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Matthew Sheffield@matthew.flux.community · 2d agoThe message "they want to inspect your daughter's genitals" would be astoundingly effective. Which is also why conservative Democrats who want to cave won't say it. In general, they would rather lose and be comfortable than win and have to push hard.

Plaintiffs American Association of University Professors ("AAUP"), on behalf of
its members in the Texas A&M University System ("Texas A&M"), and individually named member professors Leonard Bright, Vanita Reddy, Landon Sadler, and Aaron George (collectively, "Plaintiffs") challenge Texas A&M System Policy ("System Policy") 08.01's prohibition on teaching "gender and race ideology, or topics related to sexual orientation, and gender identity" in academic coursework (the "Censorship Policy" or the "Policy").
On its face, the Censorship Policy imposes a complete prohibition, in all core-
curriculum courses, on courses "advocat[ing]" particular disfavored views of race or gender, or

You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.
The Trump Administration is sending billions to Amazon, Apple, Walmart, and other big corporations to refund them for Trump’s tariffs. American households were estimated to lose over $1,000 to tariff price hikes. Here's an idea: refund working families before big business.
Republican FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr and Olivia Trusty approved Paramount’s merger with Skydance in July 2025. Months later, as it eyed a merger with Warner Bros., Paramount gifted both commissioners tickets to the Kennedy Center's swanky gala. If that isn’t corruption, I don’t know what is.
