Yet another flood of videos from Russians weeping over the "shock" and "unfairness" of strikes on a Wildberries warehouse. It doesn't cross their minds how unfair it felt when we were just living our lives, bothering no one, in our own country and our own homes,

Merete Stamneshagen mistet datteren under terrorangrepet i 2011. Silje (18) ble brutalt drept av tre skudd i hodet.

I cannot stress this strongly enough: Support your local theatre, café, bookstore, bakery, and library. We breathe life into these places when we support them. They need us, and more importantly, we need them.
One person‘s “dreadfully cold day” is another person‘s “perfect opportunity to read Agatha Christie and eat scones in front of the fire.” Life is what you make of it.
If you need someone to tell you: you are safe tonight. It’s OK to put down your phone and sleep. The world will still be consuming itself tomorrow. Right now you need rest. Close your eyes and imagine you’re a bird, that you can see the electromagnetic current of the earth.
On both right and left, there's anger about the recent assessments of Russia's threat to the UK and the rest of Europe, and about the need for us to prepare to meet it. There's a lot I could say here (as my students know), but most of it boils down to two things. 🧵
Soup tastes better when you are eating it out of your most beloved bowl. Coffee or tea taste better when you are drinking them from your most cherished mug. A book is more captivating when you’re reading it in your preferred chair. Denying these facts is akin to denying science itself.
Remember, if someone has the unmitigated gall to claim that spending the entire weekend reading Agatha Christie, drinking multiple cups of tea, and consuming a copious amount of pastries “doesn’t sound exciting", then your well-being is simply not important to them.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’re under absolutely no obligation to justify yourself to anyone if you choose to spend the entire weekend drinking tea, reading books, and eating a scandalous amount of cinnamon rolls.
It can be incredibly hard to see your progress when recovering from depression or burnout. The whole world keeps demanding certain benchmarks of you to the point that it’s easy to feel like a failure despite your hard work. Remember your progress is your own journey. Every win means something.
Remember, if someone asserts that your weekend plans of reading a good book, drinking multiple cups of tea, and indulging in a scandalous amount of scones “doesn’t sound exciting”, then they are simply not the friend you thought they were.
I would like to take this moment to say, I FUCKING CALLED IT!!
Sooo, I know its not a happy thought, but now that its confirmed that time in zood/zern is kind of fucky, am I the only one who think Ludmila might be the queen of zern? It would just make too much sense @dimension20.bsky.social #cloudwardho
A person‘s attractiveness increases by a minimum of 58% when they support their local bookstore, café, theatre, bakery, and library.
I don’t pretend to know the science behind it, but it’s an incontrovertible truth that a cabinet full of mismatched mugs is far superior to a cabinet full of matched mugs.

Yes waiter, I'll have a cup of tea, a scone, and if it's not too much trouble, perhaps some precedented times?
Just a reminder that whether it’s a physical book, e-book, or audiobook, you're under no obligation to defend your choice of “how” you read. If anything, the world needs more people who enjoy books and you should therefore enjoy them in whichever manner your heart desires.
I've said this a few times in recent months to friends: I cannot recommend getting out of online-only, "influencer" spaces enough. Go outside, volunteer somewhere local, or hang out with friends. Humans aren't wired for the constant barrage of information that is social media.
This message applies to everyone, but especially young men: If you're struggling, don't bottle it up. Call a friend. Ask for help. Go to therapy. Don't be ashamed. Give the people in your life a chance to share with YOU how much they love you instead of saying it at your funeral when it's too late.
