Talk about your book on here. Talk about it plenty. If I want to read it, it will remind me on the rare occasion that I have a book's worth of money to spare that yours exists and is one I would like to read. If I don't, I'll scroll past it. Sometimes I'll boost a book post, sometimes just scroll.

I don’t read much fantasy anymore, and my tolerance for a book starting off with a sudden deluge of lore terms and names is way lower than it used to be. But I shall persevere.

I just wrote the phrase "vintage Nirvana shirt" in my vampire horrormance, which just makes me want to walk away and stare off into the middle distance as I contemplate the passage of time. (The story takes place in the 2030s.)

A good editor is never trying to force you to change your story, they're there to help you enhance the story that you're trying to tell. A lot of people's fears with editors is that they're going to tell you "it's bad, change it" and in reality it's more like "cool, let's but tell me why it matters"

I think Ellie said it best in her own answer to the prompt: that intuitive understanding between the characters, showing they think on the same wavelength. Physical attraction is all well and good, but being attuned to each other's thoughts, needs, and goals—that's key. #SumLuv
