Today’s #randomgamesaturday is my newly arrived Last Resort for the NeoGeo. It’s my favorite shooter on the system and I finally found one at a “good” price. That Akira-stolen skyline of the first stage… wow. This game is such a looker.

Today’s #randomgamesaturday is the original Street Fighter on its only port back in the day for the PC Engine CD. It’s an awful game. Horrible control and little fun to be had, but we got very good sequels a few years later. It wouldn’t happen without the OG.

I’ve chosen Hook for the SNES because it’s kind of a comfort game for me. I think it’s immensely pretty, plays very well and is short and easy.

For this #randomgamesaturday here’s my boxed copy of the Brazilian version of Streets of Rage 3, autographed by Yuzo Koshiro at last year’s RetroCon. I’d much rather play the Japanese version, but now it’s a great collectible and I’ll never sell it.

Today’s #RandomGameSaturday is The King of Fighters ‘96 for the NeoGeo AES, which just had a week thanks the the news. This entry will always be my favorite thanks to being the one I played the most in the arcades back then. I know it’s totally unbalanced but I won’t use this against it.

The ST018 chip that runs the shogi logic is actually a full ARM CPU with its own 21MHz oscillator, far more powerful than the S-CPU itself I'm not good enough at Shogi to tell if it helps, though
