I feel like everyone I know is struggling and everything just keeps getting harder and more impossible for everyone. I have felt for a long time that this has been a societal shift based on choices by the powers that be, but lately there is also a layer of misfortune added on top of it all.

Why is it suddenly the most mosquito-y day of the year? This is miserable. Is it the gross humidity? Not staying out til 10 (or even 9) tonight.

Watching the first Discord episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic with small children and family who don't know who Q is and won't fully appreciate it feels slightly tragic. These kids aren't ready for Trek yet. Someday.
