This was a lot of fun to record thé first episode with @peterullrich.com 😄 We’ve got some big shoes to fill, but hopefully this can be your new source of elixir ecosystem news and discussion, in audio format. This is just the beginning, there is much more mayhem to come!

I'm making another trip to Europe this year! Best of all, I'll be giving the talk with Omer Kilic who was one of the first embedded Erlangers I met when starting Nerves. We'll be sharing stories in OSS from our adventure that began with a blinking LED and reflect on what it means our future.

Physical computing is just so satisfying to me. Write some code, then it _does something_ in the real world I recently finished some Nerves drivers for an NFC reader/writer chip, as well as a speaker driver/headphone amp. Today I wrote a demo app. Scan an NFC tag, then it plays some audio 😌👌

🚨 Meetup reminder!! 🚨 What: Nerves Meetup EU, with presentation by Damir Batinović on his new Skia-based GUI framework for #ElixirLang When: TONIGHT at 19h CET Where: Online (Zoom) Who: You! Me! Everybody! Why: Because cool people + cool topics + cool framework = always a fun time

To make the HexDocs domain migration easier, I wrote a small tool to scan your repo, update old links to the new format, and optionally flag any links that don’t return http 200 github.com/gworkman/hex... We ran this on 87 Nerves ecosystem libraries yesterday #ElixirLang #Erlang #Gleam

The Nerves Starter Kit hardware is really coming along nicely! I've recently been spending a lot of time on the case design. Just today I finally dialed in the buttons to the level of clicky-ness I wanted (and it's soooo satisfying) Here's the assembly process from start to finish:

Get your Nerves device onto Home Assistant. Kevin Schweikert has been brewing a special batch of Elixir nerd catnip. People will get silly on this stuff. I already have several devices up and running with Homex. Get your dashboards ready! www.goatmire.com/talk/make-yo... #elixirlang #goatmire

Make yourself at Home(x) by Kevin Schweikert

You built a Nerves device. It talks to hardware, it's reliable, it runs Elixir. Now you want to do something useful with the data. Dashboards, automations, statistics, a mobile app, maybe voice…
