another #ElixirLang dev 🏳️🌈 in the outside world i'm also a #ttrpg enjoyer, an avid reader and a typical geek. I do climbing, but that's probably typical geek too he/him
I am really enjoying being able to statically pull out this kind of info from a compiled project. This is the same code, extended to include ETS tables + ports
hooked my datalog engine into the LSP too and now it renders statically computed supervision trees for the application by analyzing the compiled bytecode

The demo for #Prerolled is out on Steam!!!! It's a silly game where you overcharge clients selling dice boxes (and they love it)! It's very chill, satisfying and rewarding! store.steampowered.com/app/4476380/... #GameDev #IndieDev #VideoGame #Demo #GodotEngine
I've been using bunny.net (CDN service) for a few projects and I decided to extract the code into a client library. Wrote a few words about it #ElixirLang jola.dev/posts/bunnyx...

Never try to write rust on a whiteboard it's a trap I had to have my interviewer show me how to write an ampersand
starting to get at ease with jj and ash, and almost ready to deploy, so is it time to add learning nix to the whole thing? (probably not but lets do it anyway)
Looking for an #ElixirLang dev? I'm officially on the market! 4+ years of Elixir in production. Natural affinity to testing, o11y and DX. My most used OS libraries are InstructorLite and PostHog SDK. Remote from 🇨🇦, PDT, links in bio. RTs appreciated 🙏 #MyElixirStatus

There's various approaches, but essentially ElixirKit is Tauri + Phoenix, so yeah you're wrapping a LiveView app in a webview and packaging it. It's a great, low-friction approach since most people are likely already using LiveView. Native features via Tauri (menubar, deep links, etc)
Other approaches: - WxWidgets (native bindings in Erlang, kinda clunky) - LiveView Native (archived). Wrapped native components in a LiveView-like API - Emerge. New, but I'm excited about this one. Built from the ground up, based on Skia bindings. Targets desktop + Nerves hexdocs.pm/emerge/readm...

"Just generate it with an LLM." Common reply when I mention I'm building Hologram UI - the component library for my Elixir-in-the-browser framework. But components need more than markup: a11y, responsiveness, edge cases LLMs miss. Waiting list: hologram.page/ui #ElixirLang

shipped attic.photos 1.0.0-beta.20, kind of a big update since it fixes an issue in earlier versions where metadata was keyed to the local photo uuid not global. With this update you can run attic on multiple machines. It does mean a one time migration of the metadata files on S3 using attic.
Attic — Back up your iCloud Photos to your own storage
Keep using Photos.app like you always do. Attic quietly backs up your originals and edits to cloud storage you control — including EU providers.
