If you were wondering why I haven't been very active these past two months... Here's the reason! I had the wonderful opportunity of taking Paul Scott Canavan's mentorship class and I had a BLAST learning all sorts of new things about art and improving my workflow. More details in the Alt ✨

Digital painting of a humanoid ranger riding a cat-bird creature in a lush forest. The goal of the mentorship this artwork was made for was to learn how to achieve a Magic-the-Gathering quality of rendering, and I really felt like I improved a ton, especially in the process of finding and creating solid references (including in 3D). More than 55 hours were spent into this single piece.

The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.
