In the Wallace and Gromit short, "A Grand Day Out," Nick Park had Wallace say "Wensleydale" just because he liked doing the lip sync. Park didn't know that the Wensleydale Creamery was about to go bankrupt at the time. The short's success led to skyrocketing cheese sales, which saved the creamery.

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

Are you a dev with a 100% human-made game demo in the upcoming Steam Next Fest? Share it below! (Please, my email is being inundated with AI slop demos at the moment and it's making it impossible to find real, good games to feature.)

9 manga that shaped who I am! 🙌🏽💕✨ Similar to my friend, I tried to focus on manga from the time I was reading the most, which was primarily middle to high school~ One or two later contemporaries too tho. 🙂‍↕️

3 rows of manga, right to left: Tokyo Mew Mew, Inuyasha, Shugo Chara, Cardcaptor Sakura, Full Moon O Sagashite, Honey and Clover, Orange, My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness, Princess Jellyfish

9 manga that shaped who I am. This was a fun challenge. It's easy to brush off series that were important to me at some point in my life if they're no longer important to me *now*, so I tried to be conscious of choosing manga that did have a big impact on me, even if they're not lifelong favourites.

3x3 collage of manga covers. Top row: Wandering Son, Gunslinger Girl, Ran and the Gray World. Middle row: Honey and Clover, Cat Stree, Cardcaptor Sakura. Bottom row: Mushishi, Pandora Hearts, Claymore.

Felt like hoping onto the abnd wagon. Some of these manga I don't own but I stayed at the library a lot after school. But these are the 9 manga thay have shaped me. There are others I would include (but no more space.)

Sometimes while editing, I start to feel a little less confident on what I'm making. Then midnight basically hits and I figured out how to edit close to a full min with said idea. The power of lack of sleep i suppose 😂

I'm overjoyed we manged to bring Phade to Anime Boston. AMVs are so important to the con and being able to show that love made it even better.

Happy new article day 🥰 We just went live an article by Red Bard that examines the AnimeMusicVideos.org panel at Anime Boston 2026. In the panel, Phade discussed the site's history, the importance of physical media, and more. It's a great read and we hope you enjoy it. #anime #history #amv

we should go back to anime having 52 episodes a season because what do you mean goodbye lara is almost half over? like all modern anime it needs time for a beach episode, a christmas episode, a polarizing middle arc, an episode for the VAs to stealth-plug their pop group, and 4-6 “Nanami episodes”
