another thing I hate about the "conveniences" of newer tech, is that it's making it harder for people to understand how shit works and how to fix things themselves. used to be you could fix your car in your own garage with some tools and a bit of know how (I've heard), these days? lol. good luck.
they're forcing it on us in an attempt to shrivel our brains and make us rely on it so once they start charging for it ppl will be willing to pay. watching ppl embrace it feels like... idk, sheep happily running into a slaughter house or something. I don't have a good analogy, but it feels bad!

I fucking hate having ai bullshit shoved down my throat everywhere and there's never even a fucking option to uninstall it!! what the hell are we supposed to do??? do we all have to buy old burner phones and only communicate via t9 texting? send physical mail??
I want to be more active online and share what I make and connect with other creatives or people who appreciate art, but it's so fucking depressing here

Played Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission over the holidays and so I had to check out the NES Metroid too. I played thru Nintendo online so I used the rewind to save time, but I didn't look anything up. Had to old-school draw a map, and it was so fun! It's a terrible map but it worked!

sorry abt the sudden Silksong rant. I've been playing again this evening after a long break, and I had a lot of fun! but I'm still mourning what could have been if it had had been better difficulty scaled and had less tedious crap, and maybe some QoL shit too
I knew the moment I met the map maker that the vibe and priority of Silksong was going to be different to Hollow Knight in a way I wouldn't enjoy, and I was right
