today I learned there are people out there shipping Katara and Ozai (and writing 150k+ fics….and binding them into real books…..) and I uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
also also did you know authors often receive a higher royalty rate % on digital sales? our author contracts (@ an indie press) had them in at 50% on ebook sales so yes, production costs and economies of scale work differently on digital formats, but the benefits continue to flow to the author!
if you've never made an ebook you don't get to tell me they cost nothing to make
actually, for my next controversial take, i think ebooks should cost 5-10% more
