Figuring out post-Army life in the PNW. Lots of Mom-Posting. She/Her. Lucy Calkins' #2 hater Play it fucking loud.

Also this book is supposed to come out in October. My local Barnes and Noble is planning a midnight release party for a book with no title. Because half the ACOTAR fandom hasn't read a new book since the Harry Potter series, they are all arguing over whether this is normal (it is not).

Just saw a woman crash out on TikTok that she will be so upset if the publisher doesn't release the paperback version of ACOTAR 6 at the same time as the hardcover version and some of you out there really never read books before finding out about A Court of Thorns and Roses on TikTok, huh.

A while back there was a video on TikTok where a young woman was frustrated that she had been to *twelve* different doctors who had all declined to diagnose her with autism. I get underdiagnosing is a problem but at 12 you gotta embrace that you're just weird, not autistic. And that's okay!

Cubs fans in May: This is an awful, heartless, lifeless team. They might never win again, and they are sapping my will to live. Cubs fans now: This is the most magical, life-affirming team in baseball history. They shall never lose again, and I love them more than life itself.

Okay so if I were making this movie it would turn into a horror film halfway through and you would realize that they're allowed to have sex that night because it *is* The Purge universe and then at the end they say the protagonists will return for Avengers: Purge Day

First look at ‘ONE NIGHT ONLY’, starring Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro. The film is a rom-com version of ‘The Purge’ where premarital sex is outlawed except for one night every year. In theaters on August 7.

Re: indoor smoking discourse I went to a concert last week and was thinking about how funny it is that bands will now have smoke machines as part of their set to recreate the look of the stage lights through smoke. Didn't have to do it back in the day when the club was just filled with cigarettes!

Promising free DoorDash for all would probably be a winning 2028 presidential platform at this point. No, I don't know how you pay for it. Tax Elon Musk personally into oblivion or whatever. Maybe we can bribe SCOTUS to look the other way.

for reasons that only make sense if you're insane, a TPUSA kid complaining about burrito costs on xitter has the GOP's biggest divas going for each other's throats.

One of our TPUSA college students gave me his take on affordability:

“A burrito shouldn’t cost $20.”

Yeah, a lot of this is a hangover from Covid and Biden-era inflation, but the lived experience is the same: It just feels like basic things cost too much.

As I get older my general rule of thumb is that if you are running for a congress I want you to have some sort of government experience first. (This is specifically about my own district, please do not project whatever primary you've all been following onto this)

Okay you guys, break's over. Time to get LASER FOCUSED on the Rhode Island primary. With only a month to go, the fate of the Democratic Party and the shape of the rest of the twenty-first century hangs in the balance. You need to be prepared to get REAL UPSET with one another online.

Friendly reminder that no matter how many snotty videos you see from public school teachers on this, it actually is the public school's job to conduct vision screenings and for teachers to refer their students for an extra screening if the student starts showing struggles in class 🙃
