If air to air heat pumps were not demonised and had better support we would be seeing huge numbers installed The industry can produce heat pumps to suit ANY home now, whether cooling or heating is required But the focus has been to look to the past, demonise cooling and focus on heating radiators.

... heat pump uptake in Britain is low, and we may even see a fall in installations this year (EVs are faring much better). If we can't get electrification moving, we won't get over the 2030 bump - and the risk is that we lock in high electricity bills (and carbon emissions) for much longer.

.@zackpolanski.bsky.social is right: the PM and most of his ministers have been remarkably quiet about the growing climate crisis. They should rebut the arguments of the Conservatives & Reform, whose response to the crisis has been to say that we need to rely even more on fossil fuels! #Wato

Annoying thing about commercial media web sites. Pop up asks you to accept all cookies so they can throw adverts at you to pay for content, so you do and you think 'great, I can now look at all the content'. Then the next barrier pops up asking you to pay a subscription.
