Avery Alder is consistently one of the most inventive, leading voices in tabletop RPGs. Ribbon Drive captures the feeling of a road trip by asking each player to make a mix tape. I mean cmon. If you haven't already, you owe it to yourself to check out her games

This bundle just got bigger! The new Defy the Gods supplements look great, can't wait to dig into them. Worth noting (because I had to figure it out!) that if you already bought the bundle, you'll need to "buy" it again (DTRPG should set the cost to zero) to add the new files to your account.

What would it mean to “complete” a tabletop RPG, like completing a video game? As with many story games, Defy the Gods has an end point. After a wild ride full of defying the gods, once your characters have given in to monstrous, godlike power & ascended to become World Forces … you’ve done it.

I…so many thoughts…this is why I love my comic book shop, my friendly local game store, graphic novels, and especially tabletop RPGs. The experience is forever analog. You get something you can hold in your hands. With games, you get an experience to share with people who’re in the room with you

My parents were low income so I often just browsed game shops as a kid. Sometimes mum let me get a game. It'd cost her whole day's wage and a chunk of our rent. Dad once told me to check under the car seat and Pokemon Red was there in a bag. Ownership isn't the only thing we lose with physical media
