The Deputy Prime Minster's response today was concerning. We cannot afford for road schemes like the roundabout proposed for the A483 at Llynclys to be the fall guy, just to shore up the Government's underfunded and late Defence Investment Plan.

Schoolchildren in North Shropshire are being short-changed by more than £2,000 – each! Schools here get just £6,556 per pupil funding from the Government, compared to the national average of £8,580.

The Amos Report confirms our worst fears, and what we already knew. Maternity services are failing women and babies and political neglect has left maternity services broken, with families paying the price in trauma, injury and lost lives.

Lovely to be invited to reopen a bridge at Bronygarth village, near Oswestry recently, after complex works to ensure its future safety were completed. The village was split in two when the bridge was severely damaged during winter storms in 2024, so it was good to see residents finally reunited.
