Lib Dems to urge Labour to drop ‘torpor and timidity’ on EU and rejoin single market
Exclusive: Ed Davey to make call ahead of 10th anniversary of Brexit vote, in strengthening of party’s position on EU The Lib Dems will urge Andy Burnham to end Labour’s “torpor and timidity” towards the EU as they call for the UK to rejoin the single market, in a notable strengthening of their own position. Ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Brexit vote next week, Ed Davey will challenge Burnham to scrap Labour’s red lines on the customs union and single market if he becomes prime minister and immediately begin talks on a more ambitious deal with the EU. Today thousands gathered and marched in London to demand a better European future for the UK. We must rejoin the EU and unite with our neighbours to defend our shared values and interests.

To everyone who feels like Trump has sucked the joy out of celebrating the 250th birthday of America keep in mind… Republicans don't own July 4th! They own January 6th… Remember that. 😎✨

Once again, there is no pleasure in accurately predicting the dishonesty of Farage & his crew or the dereliction of duty across much of the media.
Reform are again saying this. BBC were clear it is a drop in immigration today. Broadcasters should challenge/correct inaccurate versions of claims the fall is about emigration
Just to clarify, when Farage says the £5m donation to him was for his "personal security", he means his personal financial security.
Not to excuse this, & it’s a while since I presented anything on the BBC, but I do recall noting an almost subconscious desire to disprove bogus allegations of bias by being particularly tough on Labour & Lib Dems (Ed Davey once complained!) This is another victory for right wing media gaslighting.

KELLOGG: Ukrainians fought brilliantly, lost only 1% of land since 2014. You’ve got to give them full credit for what they’ve done. Russians not winning this war, they’re losing. Putin faces huge economic problems, suffered 1.2 to 1.4 million casualties, not going to get Donbas.
Who would have guessed that 250 years later, a British king would be lecturing American lawmakers about the need to keep executive power in check and defend basic democratic norms?
Never have 4 people more wished they were still in the deepest, darkest recesses of outer space.
When a King and direct descendent of King George III has to remind the American government about the utmost importance of checks and balances, you know we're in deep trouble.
The United States is a very ugly country due to some very ugly people, and I'm very saddened by it
Apart from the actual stats, the most reliable indicator that immigration is plunging (to our obvious economic detriment) is Nigel Farage turning his dishonest attentions to the mythical millions of benefits claimants.
How much more deranged does the USA have to get before US voters chuck out Trump??? 👇👇👇 😱Falklands is a pressure point for the UK – and the US knows it www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Falklands is a pressure point for the UK – and the US knows it
This story will make greater waves in the UK than in the US, which for Donald Trump is an opportunity for leverage, Joe Inwood writes.

Why is the USA incapable of removing an obviously insane and incompetent President?
