Modern world is impossible to parse but at least it keeps your mind strong to try. Ppl who are offloading the cognitive load of info sorting and especially decision making to AI are fuuuuuuuuuucked long term forever, there's no way their brain will ever stop aching if you take away that shortcut

Instead of a tits out fuckfest of epic proportions, Nolan decided we need to have the boringest Odyssey possible ("Circe" by Wright Barker)

In any other cultural climate than the current one imagine answering to "When asked about adding the concept of “atonement,” which doesn’t exist in Greek culture and what could be construed as “Christianizing” The Odyssey' with “I wasn’t too conscious of how I was approaching it philosophically" lol

"That’s a real problem in [film] criticism today because people have this idea that because they can understand why the story affects them the way it does, it therefore didn’t work." Christopher Nolan gives his most fascinating interview yet on the philosophy behind The Odyssey:

Every once in a while I think "Cave Story was really good I wonder what the next game by this creator is gonna be" as if Cave Story came out last year and I'm not 42 years old. The brain is a weird organ.

AI isn't a "bad product", it's meant to replace social institutions like healthcare, education, entertainment, and the news so that its the *only* option for the poor and a lever of control. It's an extinction policy. It cannot be fought off like a bad product would, governments will have to fall.

if one's struggling to understand how things have gotten this bad think that you don't even have to be too rich to afford yes men to constantly reinforce that you don't need any self-awareness or morals. You don't need to be a studied person to see it, oligarchy always devolves to kakistocracy.
