Today for Memorial Day, I remember my great uncle, Webster Bull, whose plane was shot down over the Netherlands in World War II, where he is now buried, and all those soldiers who have given their lives serving our country. May their bravery and sacrifice inspire us to better.

My husband and I make less than Katy Yaroslavsky and her husband, and yet we can afford a home in this district. I'll be voting for Henry because I want more people to have places to live. He's one of the few people I'm actually excited to vote for this primary!

I'm horrified by the mass shooting at The Islamic Center of San Diego. We cannot tolerate such violent hatred in our society; this kind of irrational bigotry will only ever cause immense harm. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

These “luxury apartments” with poor maintenance went viral in LA. It turns out I live in them!

Spoke with *another* constituent this morning who's considering moving to Palmdale just for the chance to own a home. Now, no shade to the Antelope Valley, but if anyone is seriously considering *Palmdale* over LA's westside, that is a generational failure of leadership here.

Spoke with another CD5 resident yesterday that’s considering moving out of California because, despite he and his wife making good money, there are no opportunities for homeownership. Whole generations have been robbed of the chance at economic security in LA, it’s devastating.

I am so very excited for this! Years and years of work, time, activism, construction, and effort to expand the D Line and now it's finally here. Now if only it were legal to build more housing near the stations to make it more convenient for more people to use 🤔
