Sad to share but blessed to celebrate the remarkable life of our founder, Karen Solem, who passed this Sunday. She helped build the romance genre to powerhouse status, publishing Nora Roberts first 100 books, & was also a trailblazer who paved the way for women in publishing.
I particularly love the darkly delicious nested narratives in @lorasenf.bsky.social’s The Losting Fountain. But out of those, Noemi’s haunts me. I love it but it haunts me. But bad things happen when one world bleeds into another.

This is the book I signed Lora for. She casually mentioned she had this other book called The Clackity, which ended up being her debut and a book some of you may know, but this is where her story started. I’m so proud to see it out in the world today. Congrats Lora.

THE BEST GIFT you can give a child is not a book, but a LOVE OF READING. That may start with the kind of book they love - a picture book, a graphic novel, great non-fiction like the ‘who was…’ series, an early reader, a novel!!! But read together! It’s wonderful thing to share!
