We got Freddy’s ashes and paw prints and fur clippings today. It doesn’t feel real. My best friend can’t be in this box. How will he catch sun beams in there? They sent us a sympathy card from the vet. That was very sweet of them. They were so good to him. I can never take a pic of him again.
My best friend died today. I miss him so much. He was 17 and his body just couldn’t go on anymore.
Seems our old man, Freddy, is telling us it’s time. I won’t be around, sorry for the extended leave and not responding much. Here’s some of my fav pics from when he was younger.

I’ve seen a growing sentiment voiced in a few diff places where things like acrylic keychains or notepads for example are called mass manufactured in a derogatory sense. That’s sad to me and I’m someone with a 95% handmade booth. It’s a fun way to have art from friends and fellow artists! It’s fine!
I sometimes worry I’m too old school. I’ve been sewing plush for 21 years after all. There were no resources back then, so I taught myself to sew and draft patterns at the same time. So I sew different than modern makers. I’m resourceful sure, but seeing that crit circulating makes me wonder…

Found out a dear friend @dattaxpony.bsky.social passed away over the holidays. Words can’t express how upset this has made me. He was always a good, sweet guy. He always made time for me every con and he was great to chat with. You will be missed. My Thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Throwback to ten years ago when I made like a hundred plush sushi keychains and they didn’t sell even at $5 so I ended up giving them all away at AWA to fellow artists later that year.
Deltarune feels so different now. It’s bc I’m genuinely so worried for these characters. I fear for them. I did have this before, of course, but it was also such fun times, games and smiles, the sorrow was easily lost in the joy. Now it’s a palpable, heavy burden that can’t be ignored. Good stuff.
