Saw The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari last night in a bar screening. Despite being sat only three rows back, I had to keep leaning to one side to read the subtitles so can now confidently declare whoever decided subtitles should be at the bottom of the screen and not at the top of the screen was an idiot

Hi, I'm incompetent/negligent hospital staff during my birth, almost jumping over a railing as a kid not knowing that it was around a shaft from an underground carpark and a six(?) storey drop, a Landrover spinning out of control, and across all three lanes, as it passed me on the motorway one night

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you: "Hi, I'm the possum that died in your family well!"

What photo editors are y'all using on android phones? Don't need anything swanky; just need a good collage function, that allows me to set the orientation, position and size of each sector of the collage rather than having only a couple of pre-set options

New EHRC guidance to forbid random women, when they stop suddenly on the pavement, to say "sorry darling" to the trans woman whom they caused to almost walk into them by their aforementioned sudden stop. The code stipulates that they must instead deliver said trans woman a death stare and sneer

JK Rowling funding her trans exterminationist campaigns by selling children's books to liberals 🤝 the NYT funding their trans exterminationist campaigns by selling puzzle games and recipes to liberals (and also for both, cis people will get really upset at trans people asking them not to)

In other words, NYT is increasingly becoming a gaming and recipe company, with revenue from that business helping subsidize the higher costs of their journalism (which has been weaponized in favor of trans genocide). They depend on liberals not caring enough to boycott them.

This is exactly how I felt when Patti Smith bought him on to play with her for the last song of her encore at the Palladium last year. It wasn't exciting or cool; it was "get this abusive piece of shit out of my sight, and you've just tainted what had been until this point a fantastic gig"

The framing of this as "crashing" frustrates me, because this was absolutely a stunt arranged through & with the support of Comic Con, probably to avoid the protests & pushback if people had known about it in advance. It's not a fun perk for fans, it's stealth marketing of a domestic abuser.

Almost doesn't count as loads of you fancy him on screen anyway but Ben Whishaw is hotter in real life (I've not met him but I have sat near him a couple of times). He's ridiculously charismatic in a way that doesn't come through camera. The dude literally radiates

Random question: what celebrity have you met in real life who was dramatically better looking than ypu thought they were based on on screen appearance?

Screengrabbing Gail's post to help limit the audience for reasons but... appeared prominently in a video seen by possibly every TERF in the country and, should any of them have been bothered to go to a modicum of effort, was probably fairly easily doxable at the time. That was some weird ass shit

Screengrab of a post by the comics writer Gail Simone. The post reads as follows: Okay, my question of the day is… What is your weirdest actual accomplishment? Not the biggest necessarily…but the weirdest?

On the 5th August, the EHRC's Code of Practice becomes statutory guidance. It will make life even harder for many trans & non-binary people. It's unworkable & harmful. The Good Law Project is challenging & wants to hear from people affected by these exclusions. goodlawproject.org/discriminato...

‘Discriminatory’ and ‘unworkable’ trans guidance to come into force | Good Law Project

The equalities minister has ordered the government’s harmful code of practice will apply from 5 August – we’re pushing back
