Military veteran and D.C. resident Anna King has filed a $3 million lawsuit against the Idaho National Guard, saying three guard members assaulted her while detaining her in front of her home.

The billionaire money fighting California’s proposed wealth tax shows how fast extreme wealth translates into outsized political power in this country. Great piece from the incomparable @rbreich.bsky.social, citing our research on how billionaire political influence has surged post-Citizens United.

15 years ago the Supreme Court decided corporations are people under the First Amendment. Today, sold-out politicians block progress on all fronts to appease their corporate donors. Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.
