One of the things that gets me about this kind of smug privilege is how CERTAIN some people are that their mouth fart could change your life. People who can’t match their socks to their belt really think that their every utterance is the only thing can push you into greatness.

Electoral organizing matters, but full-time spectatorship won’t build the power we need. I wrote about checking in with yourself about where your attention is going and what you’re doing with it.
Every time someone bitches about Woke 1, I think to Paulo Freire’s observation that any change in a situation of oppression, particularly ones that limit the ability to oppress, is experienced as oppression by the oppressor. On this view, folks are just mad they have to treat us as persons.
