More than four hours after Nic Deslauriers and the Stanley Cup showed up at Seaport Pier in North Wildwood, there’s still a line to get photos. Last check was more than 1,100 people came out today.

Gerry Cohen@gercohen.bsky.social · 3w agoFor those @canes fans discussing the 2026-27 schedule and noting a 2 pm Monday weekday NHL game, note that it’s either a teacher workday or vacation day in the following nearby school systems: Wake, Durham, Orange, Franklin and Johnston.

The Leafs are the most extreme, of course, but basically the league itself plays on Saturday and not Friday. It's Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, just like usual. Also: all 32 teams playing on the final day, that's fun.
Rest advantages for 2026-2027 The Ontario teams get the toughest rest schedules, and Montreal gets the softest.
Just checked and Google Calendar already has all the dates for the Canes games uploaded for next season. Impressed, I am.
