Don't sleep on the renaissance of Link's Awakening style action-adventure games over the past year. Pipstrello, Mina, and Minishoot are all beautifully crafted games that play great on every platform.

The great soundtrack, creative moveset, and clever navigation puzzles kept me interested till the end.

Something different this week—a column about coping with the unending tide of bad news in the game industry (and beyond). It's difficult to express, but I'm not a pessimist about all this. There is a way through—but we don't know what it looks like, and in the meantime, boy does everything hurt.

About half of the collectables in our game are placed in spots where we see players reading into environments and trying "wrong" solutions for puzzles in playtests. For a comedy game, we spend more time making wrong answers fun and interesting than we do reinforcing the right ones!
