Update: Violet is coming home after surgery and some iffy days. She will need intense care for the next few months, including physical therapy, vet visits, x-rays, and meds. If you can help or share the link, I’d greatly appreciate it! xoxoxo

Good morning BlueSky friends! I have elbow surgery today so: Have a lovely next few days. Find beauty in small things. Be kind to each other. Compliment a stranger. Treat yourself like royalty. Most of all, keep putting one foot in front of the other. I will too.
She surely will. This is Edie about middle age. I still miss her, but maybe less so her 5am alert howls that there was a rabbit in the yard the whole house needed to come see.

Emergency cuteness deployed
Friday my kid’s kneecap popped out of place. Also, I got a bridge put in my mouth and ended up with a severe migraine. Monday my sweet pup died. Today I found out a high school friend died. Tomorrow I have elbow surgery. And of course there’s the national news. I need a vacation. From my life.
Condolences to Holly 💔. Beagles are the best. We had a beautiful and joyous one for 14 years. When her time came, it was the most painful decision I'd ever made, but she was suffering and it would have been selfish to keep her going just to put off our grief. Hard to accept that at the time.

She was well loved, even by those who usually don’t like dogs. I’m happy she’s no longer in pain but I miss her terribly. I hope she’s getting lots of treats in the dog afterlife.
Sorry to hear, my beagle Marker moved on last June after 12+ years with me, he was also about 3 when I got him. Our little hounds are free from the pain of this world but missed by so many.
Betty was beautiful - that lovely, soft expression [sigh]. I’m so sorry for your loss. The time we have with them is never enough, no matter how much love we try to pack into the time we have. [hugs]

Still miss my dog Bridge. Lost her to car hit in high school. The comfort dogs provide is profound.
I dont know who said it but the lives of dogs are too short. This is their only fault.

Awww. We lost our Zeus over the holidays. He was 14. Liver failure.
So sad,,, we know they have to go but it’s so heartbreaking., Put my beautiful puppy down last month.,Had her for 13 and a half years,,, Miss her terribly… It’s a gift…
My brother died unexpectedly in September. We travelled to Canada and brought her home to be loved. She was loved especially by my adult son. She loved him to the moon and back. Today we learned her bladder cancer was eating her alive goodbye sweet Suzy. ❤️
That’s so beautiful, thank you for sharing. We lost our sweet Lisa on Christmas Day. I bet our dogs are frolicking together right now. ❤️
What a beautiful face. In October, I lost my 16 year old chihuahua mix called Abbey. I miss her so very much. She was my world and was perfect in every way. The hurt doesn't go away but I do know what you mean about being happy that they are no longer struggling.
