The Dink: I think ultimately this movie needed either Nancy Meyers or Alex Winter - you have to be smarter than Sean and have visual sense, or you have to treat it at face value. Still, Sean wrote it, so 10 stars. I laughed, I cried, it's tremendous

I forgot about this guy, glad he’s still looking out for us. Loving the neglect of causality. Like, yeah I’d love for my tax dollars not to overwhelmingly fund an ongoing well-documented genocide. Sorry that doesn’t seem important, or that you think this is somehow a distraction from defunding ICE

I wrote about David Milch's memoir Life's Work - an astonishing book in many ways; written with encroaching dementia on the author's shoulder, it shouldn't exist, but it does, and it provides remarkable insight into creativity & what it's for, why we need it. www.patreon.com/weirdandconf...

I was in New York at the Music Inn with my girlfriend one day a decade and more ago and happened to hear a familiar voice. It belonged to a man buying a beautiful mandolin, and I couldn’t help myself. “I don’t wanna bother you…” ”oh that’s ok! Go ahead!” “We‘re big fans. I saw you with Damien Rice…”

I don't sleep right. I'm watching Smokin' Aces again. I love this movie. Taraji and Alicia Keys. that's cinema. Movie is perfectly color graded, I'm afraid. Joe do this again, I am begging you.

Watched John Lechago's Bio-Slime, having never heard of him before his untimely passing. Really weird film in conversation with art history, horror history, and taking place in an honestly smutty milieu. Can't say I've seen anything *quite* like it. Poor guy. Rest in peace.
