OKAY, so in The Burning World, R's grandpa straight up says, "I never did figure out how a Bible-thumper like your mom came up with that hippie bullshit." so this tells me: - his name is extremely unique, probably a word turned into a name - it's NOT religious in nature or theme

I have seen people suggest it could be Romero (as an homage to George A Romero), but I just don't think that's it. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, to name him after the man who made zombies famous, when the story is telling us there is more to R than being a zombie.

it's so funny to be surrounded by queer kinksters going "yeah puppygirl petplay and cannibalism as a metaphor for love are SO played out and normie" and then see someone outside that sphere be like "omg, be careful online, there are people attracted to SONIC THE HEDGEHOG characters! can't unsee!! 😱"

so APPARENTLY there are clues about R's name in both The Burning World and The Living, and I am going to go insane trying to figure it out asdfgh
