I hope the most important lesson dems learn from the MI-07 Congressional race is that the time of not doing the work is over. We can no longer drop in candidates with nat'l security experience, who haven't lived in the district and rely on media campaigns. People need to show up and knock doors.

I saw a FB post from a thoroughly apolitical college acquaintance in this district who stuck a Lawrence sign in her yard because she met and talked with him and he showed genuine interest in her career as a pre-K educator and established local ties. Good candidates knocking doors goes a long way!

We've consistently outraised our opponents in dollars from Michigan's 7th District. We've got more from MI07 than the two of them combined. It's because I am rooted and raised in this district. It's how we've built the winning coalition that will beat GOP incumbent Tom Barrett in November.

SuperPACs have now spent $3,724,838 trying to defeat me in this primary, mostly on attack ads. This is what people hate about politics today. Voters want dialogue and debate, not mudslinging and smears. We need to get big money out of our politics.

Love this, this is the Will I know. When I was a WGA strike captain in 2023, I went back to Michigan while my mother had cancer and Will and I joined the UAW picket lines together. He has always shown up and that's why I know he should represent our hometown.

We're out with our final ad: "Home" When a Wall Street firm tried to evict our neighbors, I helped them fight back. This is their story.  I've spent my career taking on corporate power and fighting for Michiganders. I'm running for Congress to take that fight to DC.

Epstein survivor Dani Bensky: "These documents contain disturbing yet incomplete accounts of my abuse. They were available not only for the entire world to see, but my child, my students, my friends, my employers, my colleagues, and my family. It was humiliating."

Horrible day. ICE is preparing a deportation flight to Laos so some of my former, current, and were-to-be clients are being brought to the Whipple Building and shipped off to Louisiana for final removal. Lots of calls from them, their families, and friends. So much pain visited on our community

Olivia Wilde made a grownup film about marriage that's also a beautiful argument for artmaking and a testament to the fact that a film doesn't need to be fancy, stylized, and expensive to be a terrific work of art. The Invite is a witty, wise love letter to cinema. So happy to discuss!

‘The Invite’ is a marriage comedy with sex and heart : Pop Culture Happy Hour

What happens when a simple dinner party goes off the rails? That’s the premise of The Invite, a very good new comedy directed by Olivia Wilde. Wilde also stars alongside Seth Rogen as a couple who inv...
